Birthday Truck

Hallo,
After running a few errands this am - I grabbed some time in the craft room. I had colored this image a couple days ago in the evening on the couch watching TV with the fam so was ready to go putting together a card.

I colored him with copics and the phrase is a rub on that I have had forever.

Berry Sweet

Hallo,
Well I slept too late today - meant to get up at noon but it was thundering and raining and such wonderful sleeping weather.....managed to get up finally at about 2. DH was out and about watching the Nascar race with some friends, DS was playing xbox and DD was reading......off I went to the craft room.
I just got this stamp set in the mail yesterday from Flourishes so decided to play with it. I did it up for this weeks FTTC78 challenge over at the Flourishes blog - the challenge was 'no embellishments'. In all truth this set made the no embellishement thing pretty easy as it is a great image and fun to color.

I used a technique from this months Technique Junkie Magazine called 'layer up' to add some dimension to the card.
I colored 2 sets of this image and used the second one to pop up onb top of the first one is spots for a 3D look.
I colored the images with copics.
All for today - see you tomorrow before I head off to work again tomnorrow night....this one day off thing has me a bit disorganized but maybe now that the kiddos are back in school I will be able to get my act together.... wish me luck!!! :)

Sweet Pea Sketch

Hallo,
Getting an early start today - need to do a couple chores and then I will be meeting a friend of mine for some thrift store bummin and lunch. I have hardly seen Pat at all this summer - it has been a busy summer with the kiddos. Now that the kids are back in school I have some free time - yippee!!!
I finished off this card yesterday for this weeks challenge over at the Sweet Pea Stampers blog. Not only is it a weekly challenge but for the month of August they are also doing a month long blog candy contest for any entrants in the weekly challenges. This weeks challenge was a sketch.
I stamped this beautiful image onto gold sparkly paper from 'Paper Temptress' and colored her with prismacolor pencils.
I also used some of the gold paper as one of the layers.
The flourish was cut with a Tim Holtz die and sprayed with glimmer mist.
The centers of the flowers - I used chrystal laquer and some small beads.
All for today - need to vacume my pool before it turns green.....

Summer Water Fun

Hallo,
I sent my kiddos off for the first day of school this am :)!!!!!!
Then, after going for a walk, getting on my elliptical, doing my stretches, taking a shower, consigning a load of stuff at the thrift shop, getting groceries, doing some laundry, starting super in the crock pot - I had some fun in the craft room.
This fun image is from Phindys and I did it up for this weeks 'clean and simple' challenge - in that it was quick and simple to do. These images are so quick and fun to color that all it takes is some quick layers and fun DP and walla ....cute card.

Winter Wishes

Hallo,
Well I managed about 3.5 hours sleep today - woke up by the phone once and my old cat twice, can't wait to go back to bed this evening!!!
I did manage to get this card done for this weeks challenge over at Mo's - hopefully in time this week....
The challenge was 'Christmas'. I pulled out some stickers and rub on's from last years after Christmas sales to go with it. Image is from Mo's of course - colored with copics.

Butterfly Happiness

Hallo,
I had a good sleep today and now sneaking a few minutes of blogland before I have to get ready for work.
I really love this paper from DCWV - called 'La Creme' . Combined it again with stamps from Gina K for yesterdays color challenge over at Stamp TV .
I colored the butterfly with copics.
Tomorrow is the last day before school starts for my kiddos so will get up early after work and maybe go see a movie.....

Quilted Love

Hallo,
Just a short post as I am going to attempt to get a nap today before work.....I did this card this weekend for a challenge over at Stamp TV. I have made a couple cards lately with paper from the 'La Creme' stack from DCWV. I had enough left from the other cards to punch some inchies and then did this card.
I mounted them to cream handmade paper with silver accents and then did some 'faux stitching' all around with a gold gel pen.
The phrase is from Gina K.
