A touch of gold

 Hallo,
Well I have been in a big time coloring mood lately but haven't taken the time to head into the craft room and make things up as much as usual and this morning I was determined to get something made for the current challenge over at Flourishes - I have missed the last 2 due to the work thang (necessary as it is - it really cuts into my crafting time :)
The challenge this time was to use gold and I love that - I use my gold metallic pen to edge layers ALOT, and my next favorite is usually my gold viva décor pen.
Check out the challenge here - www.flourishes.org/blog/

For todays card I used a stamp from Flourishes
of course  and colored it with prismacolor pencils. I cut it out with a Spellbinders die and layered it to some gold mesh ribbon and onto a piece of oriental paper that I have been hoarding literally for years :). The oriental paper is gold with bright gold accents.
Lastly I added some gold bead flourishes and now am getting in just under the wire for the challenge deadline. (I slept later after work this am than I planned....funny thing about sleep, sometimes it tells you what to do - you think I would have learned that by now after all these years on night shift!!! :)
Tomorrow I am running over to Panama City with my DD to restock/rearrange my booth at the Craft Market so Wednesday I might get some craft time  before work that night. My DD is home this week for spring break and between getting together with her friends and me working tomorrow is the only day we will have all day to hang out - course she might need a break from Mom after that but I will love it!!! :)
All for today - Take Care
