Moonlight on the Bay

Hallo,

Thought I would show you a couple in progress pictures with this one.  This first picture is the original cyanotype done with beach grasses, weeds and a horseshoe crab shell that I found. In addition to the cyanotype fluid for this wet cyanotype, I spritzed it with some vinegar diluted in water and put some soap bubbles on top too.

The next 2 pictures show how I water colored the grasses, weeds and shell.

I mounted the paper to a cradled panel and added a few layers of encaustic medium and then enhanced the water and the moon with a bit of pan pastels.

Framed in a black float frame it measures 16.5 inches wide by 23.5 inches tall and 2 inches deep.
