Cancer Is So Limited

Hallo,
Another couple of my experiments - I think the last in the Lighthouse series - need to do some with this same poem and flowers next.
The Lighthouse is from Stamps Happen.
The poem is called 'Cancer is so Limited' and is from Cornish Heritage Farms - as is the flourish on the main image (from the 'Beautiful' set).

These are both made to fit a 5X7 frame. The main piece started out with watercolor washes with a layer of clear gesso, stamped the lighthouse and then colored it with prismacolor pencils, added more stamping with the flourishes in ink and the purple flowers in acrylic paint, edged with gold krylon pen.
The poem was stamped with purple staz on - onto vellum - both layers cut with nesties/cuttlebug - and again edged with gold krylon.
The chipboard pieces are from Tim Holt and sprayed with Glimmer mist.

Designer Pink

Hallo,
Off work today and I had time to go play with some of my Stamping buddies!!! We meet a couple times a month and just bring stuff to work on - the stuuf I brought to work on today I will have to finish up to show you on monday.
Showing you today some more projects I did with the pink sheet of 'Faux Designer Paper' technique from technique junkies.
This first card I cut ovals out of the FDP and brown cardstock and cut a label from the FDP, edged them all with gold krylon and layered them on top of pink ribbon to brown cardstock with some pink and green baubles for accents.



I really love this technique - it allows me to customize the backround paper and can be used for anything. Makes up some really quick cards!!!!
And wait till you see the journal I did for tomorrow :)

This card took just a little more time - the rose (SU) was stamped 3 times and the petals of 2 of them cut and layered to the first(with foam tape). The leaves I colored in with prismacolor pencils but the texture of the FDP still shows through the green - cool!!!

I then layered the rose onto ovals cut with nesties in my cuttlebug, edged with gold krylon, layered on top of pink ribbom to brown cardstock.

The phrase is from 'Gina K - Kindred phrases for her'.

Kindred Moms

Hallo,
Short note - home late from work again, very busy day!!!!
These are mini clipboards I found on sale at A.C. Moore - I stamped them with one of the Kindred Moms from Gina K and then used my woodburner on them and traced the lines of the stamp. I then colored them with prismacolor pencils. I sealed them with spray on acrylic sealer from krylon.
I am doing 30 of these to take on my cruise with Gina K, Bella, and Papertrey ink. for swapping. (!!!!only 8 working days left, 15 total days!!!!).
These clipboards are only about 2.5 inches wide and about 3 inches tall - about the size of an ATC. They have a chain on them so they could be used as a keychain but I bought some magnets to attatch to the back if wanted to uses it as a frig magnet....
All for tonight - work the next couple but saved some stuff to show ya.

More versions - Trumpeting Angel

Hallo,
Showing you today some versions of yesterdays cards!!! I always have to do a couple variations.
Not too major of changes - the first one is edged with tea dye ink, and the next one with walnut ink.
The third card I embossed the angel in clear ink and then sponged brick red Distress ink on the card to make the angel show up, used the same technique for the last card but used peeled paint Distress ink instead.
For all cards I used stamps from Cornish Heritage Farms http://www.cornishheritagefarms.com - 'Aged sheet music' scrapblock and 'Trumpeting Angel' and I used a gold krylon to edge the Angel layer and a Christmas ribbon from my stash.
