Shabby Chic Doves

Hallo,
Here is the second card that I did yesterday - I did this for 2 challenges. First is for this weeks FTTC88 challenge over at Flourishes for distressing and ink distressing. Second challenge was over at Stamp TV was for kraft, green and shades of blue.

The doves are from Flourishes and the label frame is from Gina K.
Coloring done with copics.
That wonderful ribbon is also from the Flourishes store.
I also used some ivory pearls as accents too.
Well I am off and running for the day - several errands to run and hopefully some crafting and a nap (I work again tonight and tomorrow night - then have 5 days off!!!!! yippee!!!)

Shabby Chic Jay

Hallo,
Well after a busy couple nights at work I am off this evening. I went for a walk this am as the weather was so nice and cool, managed to get about 4 hours sleep before getting up for the day.
I did some blurfin' and then spent a bit of time in the craft room. As usual when it came to this card - I had 2 ideas in mind and couldn't chose so I did both - you will get to see the second one tomorrow.
All stamps on this one are from Gina K for this weeks color challenge for kraft, green and 2 shades of blue.
I used the new Lovely Labels 2 and Winter Wings sets, along with a new Spellbinders labels die.
I distressed the edges and then inked them with navy ink.
I also added some ivory colored pearls for acccents.

Lovely Christmas Blessings

Hallo,
Two quick cards today - I had a few errands to run today, groceries to get, laundry to do - so not too much time for stamping.
I am writing this up about 3 pm but it won't post till 10 pm when I will be at work - headed off for a nap here in a couple minutes.
I did both these cards with Gina K's new 'Lovely Labels 2, and some wonderful felted ribbon that I found at HB. I also used some gold corner stickers, red rhinestones and a phrase from Cornish Heritage Farms.
I work 4 of 5 nights starting tonight so I probably won't post again until Monday ( have Sunday night off and then work Monday night....) But then I have 5 off in a row!!!!

Shimmering backrounds

Hallo,

Just poppin' in for the Gina K challenge blog hop. Our challenge this time was to pick one of the backrounds from the sidebar on Stamp TV and make a card.

I chose the 'shimmering backrounds' although its really hard to see any shimmer in this first card.....

I ran white cardstock through my snowflake cuttlebug folder and the used glitter gel pens to highlight the texture.

I then used a label from the Lovely Labels 2 set for the main image - stamped in navy. Phrase and snowflakes are from the 'Holiday Hospitality' set - phrase stamped in navy and snowflakes in light blue.


My second card is much more colorful and I was accually able to catch some shimmer in my photos - I used an oriental lantern texture folder and more glitter gel pens to color the lanterns.

I used another label from the 'Lovely Labels ' set stamped in red and edged with black for a faux layer.

The phrase is from the 'Inside and out' set and the koi from the 'By your side' set.

The koi is colored with the glitter gel pens too.

I added tiny red rhinestones to the label design and larger red rhinestones to the card.

Holiday Cuteness

Hallo,

Just a quick note this am as I head off to bed for a nap. I had a couple good nights at work - just busy enough to keep moving but not crazy....

I did this card for this weeks challenge over at Phindys - the challenge was for 'something cute'.

Well I think this adorable image will qualify as cute and I needed to get some more Christmas cards done too. Check out all the cuteness here - http://www.phindysplacechallenge.blogspot.com/

The image is from Phindys of course and colored with copics.

I love the cat with his paw in the milk - I have 3 cats and would have to cover the treats for Santa each year with a decorative Christmas towel to avoid just this little scene :).

Sweet Feline Christmas

Hallo,
Just a short note as I worked last night and am soon headed for my bed.....
I did this card for the latest challenge over at Sweet Pea Stampers - http://www.sweetpeastampschallenge.blogspot.com/
The challenge this time was for brads or bows or both. I only managed the brads on this one - every bow I tried just didn't look right, didn't fit.....
The main image is of course from Sweet Pea Stamps - colored with prismacolor pencils.
I am slowly getting a good stack of Christmas cards done :).

I had a little time to play this weekend and just had to get in on the release challenge over at Flourishes.

I used this wonderful Christmas set again - I have used it alot lately!! He is colored with copics and accented with some rhinestones and some ribbon from my stash.
