Christmas 3D card

Hallo,
Well if I keep at it maybe I will get enough cards made to send out for Christmas 2018 instead of having to buy store bought like I did in 2017.
This card base is a die from Accu Cut that was designed by my friend Vicki Chrisman. It includes the base and the little frames and squares and a tab to hold it closed with.
The scenes in the middle and front of card are  from  Christmas cards from 2016. I cut  them out to fit, and the Merry Christmas is a die from Top Dog dies. I added a few stickers, blue doo dads and a chipboard snowflake painted blue to decorate and lastly a bit of Velcro added to the card back and the closure tab to hold it closed.
All the die cut make for a quick and easy card but really cute too.
I am planning on working on some Valentines Day cards too and cant wait - it has been a long time since I really have made many cards!!! I have spent a lot of hours this weekend cleaning, sorting and rearranging my craft spaces and it is so nice to have them clean and usable again!!!
Sometime this week I do have to get my Christmas tree down and clean house also, but then more cards!!!

Silver and blue....

Hallo,
Just stopping in quick as I am headed for a class in the next few minutes. I haven't been making much for cards lately - been putting some extra time in at my studio and painting.
I am really having fun with the wax and have a couple bigger projects in the works.
I also retook photos of a bunch of my paintings and have started a shop on 'Vangoart' - So far have 3 paintings up and need to redo some photos for about 4 others.
Todays card is made with papers and cardstock from Paper Temptress and colored with polychrome pencils, a bit of rhinestones and glitter and another card for my Christmas stash - which BTW is still rather small....
All for tonight - Take Care

Shepard boy - gold

Hallo,
I am back with another Christmas card for you today - if I can keep it up I may get most of them done ahead of time for once!!!
Although I do need to do a few Halloween cards this year as I pretty much skipped it altogether last year.
This image is from Aurora Wings - I got it from Sweet Pea Stamps before they closed shop.
He is colored with prismacolor pencils onto 'cryogen white' of course - from Paper Temptress of course :)
The base cardstock is from Paper Temptress's - mica metallic line and just called 'gold'. Its a very pretty bright gold and very sparkly.
I added a sticker for the Happy Holidays and some bronze pearl dots too.
I am glad to say that my knees are feeling a lot better this morning and yesterday - and I got a decent nights sleep last night (for me anyhow). I hope it lasts awhile - I have a bunch of yard work that needs to get done!!!
All for me today - working again, the weekend is getting closer though.

Snowman card

       Hallo,
A quick stop here this am to show you this cute Christmas card before I head off to work.
The paper I used is all from Paper Temptress - cryogen white for coloring the image with copics, and the base cardstock is from the mica mettalics line  and is called 'emerald' (its really pretty and sparkly!!)
I edged the image panel with gold metallic pen and then added the present and ornament stickers for accents.
The image is from 'Art House Designs' - formerly with Sweet Pea Stamps.
So far my knees are doing well - the shots didn't make them worse by any means  cant tell yet if any better - hope they continue to feel better,. I had a hard time sleeping last night - headache in addition to the usual aches and pains but it will get better!!!
I was pretty tired last night after running the hour plus drive to the doctors office, getting the injections and an hour an a half in some huge rain back to work 8 hrs but it wasn't too bad - it caught up to me when I got home - a bit over tired......

Hallo,
Another Christmas card for you today using an old Sweet Pea Stamps image by Conie Fong colored with copics onto cryogen white paper.

Middle of the week - I think my pups will have to do without an evening walk today - HOT, HOT, HOT - yesterday at 5 when I took then for a walk it was 94 with 80% humidity and no breeze - they didn't mind but I sure was HOT!!!! I think today will be the pool for me after work!!!

Little boy blue

Hallo,
  Happy New Year!!!
I had hopes to have more posts by now but I am getting a slow start on the new year. I have a pile of images colored up ready to get made into Christmas cards (might as well start for next year since I didn't get enough made for this year in time...)  I have started another locker hook rug and tonight I am going to a water aerobics class at the new aquatic center.
My work schedule worked out perfectly for the evening class on Tuesdays and Thursdays for this month (who knows about next month but the good thing is I  can join month by month...)  I have been walking virtually every day and need to do something more exercise wise, but my joints wont tolerate much right now, so the water seems a perfect thing - I have done water aerobics before and in the summer in my own pool in the backyard so am looking forward to it.
My card today uses several sweet products from Paper Temptress. The navy blue base cardstock is from the Ruche line - very pretty texture and a nice weight for the base of a card or layering too. The overlay is from the Hambly studio line and is see-through and nicely shimmery and shiny. I also used a pretty blue ribbon.
The main image is from Art House  Designs (formally carried by Sweet Pea Stamps) and colored with prismacolor and polychrome pencils.
Now I have my first Christmas card finished for 2016 :)
Well better get a move on and head off to work this am - Have a great day!!!

Sweet Pea Stamps - Christmas with a non-Christmas image - hop

 Hallo,
Welcome to the Sweet Pea Stamps blog hop. Each of our wonderful designers have come up with creative ways to use a non-Christmas themed image to create a Christmas themed project! We hope to inspire you to work out of the box for each and every holiday with images you might not consider when crafting.

Please visit each of our talented team members'... blogs and leave a little love - a comment on every hop post will enter you into a drawing for a $20 gift code to the Sweet Pea Stamps store! As an added bit of fun share the hop on Facebook tagging Sweet Pea Stamps for a chance for a $10 gift code to the Sweet Pea Stamps store! Winners will be chosen around the first of next week.
Christmas card making is in full swing in my craft room - had a few more done up early than I did last year but still have a few to go :)
The Sweet Pea Stamps Design Team crew decided to have one more blog hop this year and hopefully this will inspire some ideas for Christmas cards for you too!!!
We decided to challenge ourselves by using a non-Christmas image to make a Christmas card or project.
I used 'Pearl' by Julia Burgess of Sweet Pea Stamps and colored her with prismacolor pencils.
I thought the bubbles looked like Christmas ornaments and colored them red and green - got a bit too much glitter on them I guess as they don't show as bright of red and green as I thought they would - but then again  - Can you really have too much glitter? :)
All for me today - Take Care

P.S.  I drew the winner of my blog candy from our last Sweet Pea Stamps DT blog hop a couple days ago and have not heard back from her yet - I left a note on her blog. So I am looking for  Erika Horvathova - please email me or leave me a comment with your email in it and I will get your goodies on the way :)

Glittered Pearl

 Hallo,
Well the weather has finally warmed back up a bit here in NW Florida - frost all over the rooftops this morning but then it warmed up quick and was 60 degrees by about 830 this am - sunny and very wonderful. The pups took me for a long walk and they had a good run :) and then I spent most of the day in the craft room (aside from and errand or 2 :)
I think I may have gotten a bit too much glitter on her in spots - can you really have too much glitter :)
I used a Sweet Pea Stamps image and colored her with prismacolor pencils and then used and die shaped like a Christmas ornament to cut here out - added some accents with viva décor pens, glitter and some gold Christmas trims and some teal flowers.
I am on call for work tonight which is rare so I am going to shift to the couch now and work on the locker hook rug that I need to have finished in time for Christmas :)

Yule Ornament

 Hallo,
We are seeing a bit of sunshine this afternoon after raining most of the morning (which is really night for us night shift worker/day sleepers sometimes :) so I got a picture of the card I finished yesterday to show you.
I made a Christmas card using Norma J Burnell's  'The Gift' from Sweet Pea Stamps. She is available both as a digi and a rubber stamp. Check her out here - www.sweetpeastamps.com
I colored her with copics and cut her out with a Spellbinders die.
I edged the layers with gold metallic pen, added a couple ribbons and some pearl drops in gold with a viva décor pen.
She is so much fun to color - so many possiblys!!!
All for today - back to work tonight!!!

Christmas Doves

Hallo,
A bit more rain for us today but we did get some sunshine this afternoon - course our morning walk with the spoiled puppy was a bit on the soggy side :).
The DH took both the kids to the range for some target practice this morning so I spent some time in the craft room. I had one more DT project for Sweet Pea Stamps to finish before Graduation week craziness starts on Monday but I also pulled out a Flourishes image and made up a Christmas card.
One of my goals this  year was to do at least one Christmas card a week but that went by the wayside.....its been several months since I have done one.
I have really been missing my Flourishes stamps and I had a few images already colored up so I pulled this one out and from there it was easy to make up a card!!!
Hoping for a bit more sunshine tomorrow as I could really use to do yard work!!!!
   Have a great weekend!!!

Rustic Christmas

Hallo,
Well once I got up yesterday afternoon (after working night shift :) I had some time to play in the craft room and did up a few cards. I had spent a lot of time over the weekend coloring so it was just a matter of putting them all together.
Todays first card is a modified  CASE from  Christine on this post - http://christinecreations.blogspot.com/2013/12/country-birthday.html

The stamp is from Flourishes and I colored it with koh-I-noor pencils.
I stamped it onto Neehnah Desert Storm - kraft colored cardstock and then backed it with some kraft core coredinations paper.
I made a shaped card for the current Tuesday/releas challenge over at Flourishes this week - Check it out here - www.flourishes.org/blog/
All for today - once again braving the frigid cold to take my spoiled princess of a puppy for her walk :)
   Stay warm!!!

P.S. the second card is a more direct CASE of Christine's card and the one I did first - then I had to try one with sunset colors :)

Silver and gold

Hallo,
BBBBRRRRRRbbbbrrrrr - It is COLD here this am and fixin to be colder. I have lived in NW Florida for over 15 years now and never has it gotten this cold or stayed cold for as long as it is sposed to.
Puppy still wants her walk though so I guess I will bundle up and go - soon as I work up the nerve :)
Todays card is for the current challenge over at the House Mouse blog - www.housemouse-challenge.blogspot.com
The challenge this time is for 'silver and gold' This card looks better IRL - I did the star and ornaments on the tree with silver and gold metallic pen and they show up way better off camera. Otherwise it is colored with koh-I-noor pencils, layers die cut with Spellbinders and I added some ribbons and a few silver and gold sequins too.
All for this morning - better get this walk thing over with and back for a hot cup of tea!!
    Stay warm!!!!

Star of Bethlehem

 Hallo,
Short post - kinda a lay around and play in the craft room kinda day here....foggy, muggy and sposed to rain this evening here in NW Florida.
Lunch time saw my DD and I downtown looking around a local craft fair (very small) and some of the downtown shops and then had lunch with the DH and DS - DS was late joining us so I had him bring my spoiled puppy and we took her out and about at the craft fair - she LOVES being around all those people and other dogs too.
I managed to get a few things done in my craft room - this card for a challenge over at Flourishes and pretty much finished off the first batch for my card coloring class that starts in January.
I did this card with one of my newest sets from Flourishes - called 'Star of Bethlehem'  - the blue and the silver cardstock are both shimmery and glittery so this card is much prettier IRL - very hard to get a good picture with our blah, foggy day here....
Both the silver and blue pretty papers are from 'Paper Temptress' - she has a TON of beautiful papers - check it out here www.papertemptress.com
Check out the challenge over at Flourishes here - www.flourishes.org/blog/
    Have a great weekend!!!!

Christmas Lantern

 Hallo,
Well Christmas is getting close and I do believe I have everything done - that's going to get done anyway.
Our new challenge over at Sweet Pea Stampers is 'Christmas' and I just love this stamp from Katerina Koukiotis called 'Home for the Holidays'
I colored her with prismacolor pencils and did her up a bit different than I usually do - I usually do her cape in red with brown hair but wanted a gold cape this time. I thought the red hair was a good match too - she is such a sweet image.
Make sure to check out what the rest of the Design Team is up to  - lots of great Christmas images from Sweet Pea Stamps!!!
  www.sweetpeastampers.blogspot.co.uk/

I worked the last 2 nights and today after taking the puppy for a walk and a bit of sleep - I am hoping to go with my kids (and maybe the DH) to see the new 'Hobbit ' movie - my DS has already seen it and says its the best one yet and that says alot!!!
All for now - Have a great weekend and if I don't get back in here before Christmas - Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year too!!!

Last StampTV CSS blog hop

Hallo,
Its kinda a sad day for me as this is our last Gina K CSS blog hop and our last event as a 'formal' group. I have gotten to know these wonderful ladies and have had so much fun on our blog hops!!!!
This time around we are using the photo above for inspiration.
If you are following the hop then you came to me from the very talented Miesje - http://miesdf.blogspot.com/2013/12/css-december-inspiration-blog-hop.html

Remember to leave sweet comments along the way because we will be giving away a big grab bag of Gina K Designs product to one random commenter.

For my card I used Melanie's 'Holiday Baskets' set and colored it up with my copics - then I colored over the red, gold and green with spica glitter pens (although it doesn't show well.)
I cut the layers with Spellbinders dies and used red glitter paper behind the main image and sparkly green sequin ribbon , gold metallic pen and the base cardstock is a shimmery green too.

Although it is sad that this is our last blog hop we do have plans to start our own 'informal' little group :) and a happiness for me today is that my Daughter got home from her first semester in college today :) - she immediately changed clothes to shorts and flip flops :) - although its a bit coolo for that for me she has been in Nebraska and gotten used to colder :)

Now I will send you on your way to the next stop on our hop - Vicki - http://allidoisstamp.blogspot.com/2013/12/last-stamp-tv-css-hop.html and I am sure she has some sweetness to show you!!!

Take Care and have a great week!!!

Glitter Snowflake

 Hallo,
My second post for the day - trying to catch up on a challenge or 2 and this one is for the current one over at Impression Obsession and is for 'snow'. Check out the challenge here - www.mitrafriant.typepad.com
I just got the snowflake die from IO this week and I must say that I am impressed how detailed it is - I didn't realize when I ordered it that it had so many layers but it is very cool!!!
I cut out the snow flake from a pretty paper from Paper Temptress called 'vintage silver luster' which is a white with silver shimmer and swirls to it.
Once I cut out the snowflake from IO, I took a couple of the layers and attached them to sticker paper and then covered the rest of the sticky side with teal glitter. Then I covered that with a clear laminating sheet and added pearl drops with a viva décor pen in teal and edged the panel with silver metallic pen.
The base cardstock is another beautiful paper from Paper Temptress called - 'silver pearl linen' and I used the teal pearl drops again.
It all makes for a really shimmery and glittery card that doesn't show up near as well in my photos.
The last couple photos show my Christmas cactus - he is blooming right on time :)
   Have a good night!!!
