Fall Wedding box

  Hallo,
Headed off to work soon so will show you this before I go - I made this wedding box and memory book for a coworker. She and her significant other wanted a fall wedding and their colors are maroon
and gray with accents in orange and gold.
I love to alter boxes and have a big stash of wooden cigar boxes and can usually find a cool chipboard book to fit inside.
Lots of details and layers here and I almost think I may have overdid it a bit....still not sure but I like how it turned out!!
For the top I started with a silvery gray and stamped and embossed the swirls on it with a background stamp from Flourishes in an antique copper colored powder. The corners are almost the same color as the powder and I have 'feet' (old drawer pulls) that are the same color too.
Next is several layers of ribbon - the maroon mesh, 2 layers of gray and then a layer of pearls.
The main image is a Northwoods stamp embossed in gold onto the gray paper and layered to a Spellbinders die in red.
Then I accented with some paper flowers and leaves and a tiny charm that says 'To love and cherish'
The 4th picture shows the inside of the box with part of their invitation showing behind the memory book.
I used pretty fall papers with matching red/gray and orange for the memory book.
I used scraps of the papers from the box and book to die cut a pile of leaves and used a few to decorate both the box and memory book and saved the rest - I plan to take the box/book to work the next couple days and have all our coworkers sign a little note on a leaf and then will put all the leaves into the card for them - I saw that idea somewhere only it was done with hearts instead for a Valentines wedding and I thought the leaves would work very well too!!!
All for me today - off to work I go....

Wedding memory box

 Hallo,
Just a short note before I head off to work for the night....
Finished off this wedding memory box yesterday but it was too late to get pictures.
I love making these boxes and its even more fun when I can customize to the wedding couples colors and style.
When I take one to the craft fairs or put one on the Etsy shop I usually do gold and cream or sometimes black and gold with white or cream...
This is a cigar box and I covered it with pretty papers and covered the book to match. The inside bottom of the box is lined with felt and I attached some wooden 'feet' that I colored gold with a metallic gold pen. Added some metal corners from Tim Holtz and not sure where I got the other little things for the corners but I like them :)
The stamp is from Northwoods and the die cuts from Spellbinders.
I guess I had better get a move on and get off to work.....have a great night!!!

To have and to hold

Hallo,
Preposting for you today - am at work, making $$$ to spend on stamps :).
We found out yesterday that my Brother-in-law will be getting married here in April - so as long as I still had these stamps out I decided to do another card with them.
The back round was done using a Technique Junkie technique called cuttlebug stamps - used a cuttlebug folder to create a stamp with Magic stamp foam block and then stamped it for the backround onto cream card base. Talk about getting double duty from my cuttlebug folders!!!!
The next layer is a spellbinders die cut from navy blue paper and edged with gold rub on.
The Wedding couple was stamped onto cream cardstock and embossed with white, edged with gold mettalic pen, trimmed close, and popped up with foam tape.
The next layer is 3 strips of the same ribbon - 2 side by side and the 3rd on to - dyed to match with the same blue ink as the backround.
The small layer on top of all that are 2 stamps from Gina K.

I added some flat backed pearls to the corners.
I again used this weeks sketch from CPS #155 .
All for today

Anniversary card

Hallo,

I managed a little time in the craft room today - I was draggin tail big time today (work yesterday was just a bit crazy...).

I used another of the 3D Shadowboxes cut from one of Vicki's dies . www.vickichrisman.blogspot.com
My sister and her DH will have their 25th Wedding Anniversary in April so I decided to do them a fancy card. (I am pretty sure she never has time to pop in here so can show you...). Their colors were a light blue .

On the mid section of the base I used a cuttlebug folder and a Technique Junkie technique called 'cuttlebug highlights' - on the side panels I used the same cuttlebug folder and a product called 'magic stamp foam block' in a slight modification of a TJ technique called cuttlebug stamps that uses fun foam. The magic stamp foam block is really cool - you heat it with a heat gun for a couple minutes and then it will take an impression and can be used like a stamp - I used the same cuttlebug folder.
You can find the magic stamp foam block here - www.rubbernature.com
I haven't used mine in awhile but will be alot more - really makes my cuttlebug folders a great value!!!! And I just ordered some more too!!! :)

The stamp for the main image is from Northwoods Stamps. I embossed the stamp on cream paper with white detail powder, added some shadows with a copic marker and outlined it with a gold mettalic pen before cutting it out.
The rest of the stamps are from Gina K and also colored with my copics. I was going for more of a pale ice blueish and it accually turned out slightly bluegreenish.... I just got this set last week and really like it - especially the cake!!!
I added some flat back pearls in spots and some smaller ones to the cake.
All for now - got some couch chillin time to accomplish :)

Black and Gold

Hallo,
Short note to show ya a few pics....
More wedding cards....
The first thing I noticed when I edited these photos is that I really should have edged the black and white layer with gold krylon pen as it would have helped it show up a little nicer....oh well too late now that everything is glued down....
The base cardstock is cuttlebugged with the textile folder and then swiped with my embossing pad and embossed with glitter gold .

Both the layers are done with nesties - the gold layer I left a little 'out of the box' for the dress.
Added some pearl trimmed ribbon and black faux crystals.
This first card is a stamp from Another Stamp Company and the second one is a stamp from Northwoods stamp company both embossed with white on gold DP - the back of the black and white layer...

Wedding or Prom

Hallo,
So another version in green and pink for you today - but this first one could easily be for a prom or a wedding (that is one of the reasons I got this stamp as it would work for both).
The backround is a stamp from 'Flourishes" and is stamped with peeled paint distress ink.
The stamp is from North Woods stamp company and is embossed with white onto vellum.
All the layers are cut with nesties in my cuttlebug with the vellum layer left a little 'out of the box' for the rest of the dress.
I edged the main layers with gold krylon. The flower was sprayed with pink glimmer mist.
I did 'cheat' a little with the pink layers - 2 different ones but after cutting them in the cuttlebug I cut them in half and glued them behind the circles so the layer would be just a bit bigger....
All for today - Take Care
