Christmas Pink

 Hallo,
   Just a quick card for you this evening - it was a low sleep day but fun . I had the last of my encaustic wax painting classes today - I definatly have a new craft addiction now!!!!
  DH got home from his weekend trip to Taldega to watch the Nascar race over the weekend so I was helping him unload the truck (not many hotels near-by so the group that he goes with just camps out in a nearby field).
   I just got this stamp last week from Flourishes and have colored it up several times already - this time of course in pink.
  I of course am using this card for the first of the release week challenges over at Flourishes for their 'Think Pink' challenge for Breast Cancer awareness month - Check it out here - www.flourishes.org/blog/
  My Mom is a survivor - and as a matter of fact this month is her 5 year mark!!!!Yippee!!!
  I colored this lovely stamp with prismacolor pencils and cut it and the next layer both with Spellbinders dies and edged them with gold mettalic pen.
  I used some cute pink, and green  striped DP and a green card base. And lastly I added some pink pearl drops with a tulip fabric pen.

Cabin Christmas Wreath

 Hallo,
   Well an early start to the day for me - as DS has a swim meet today and had to be to the school very early to catch the bus....DD needs the car today as she is taking the ACT again today - she has great scores but the Air Force Academy Recruiter told her that if she could add even just one more point it would bump her into the top third of candidates....
  Showing you another of the wreaths that I have been working on the last couple days. I hope to finish off the red/green ones today and start on a steampunk version.
  The letters are from Flourishes - colored with copics (I just love these letters and have used them a ton lately on all my wreaths) and the scene is from Cornish Heritage Farms - Thomas Kinkade line - colored with prismacolor pencils.
  I am entering this is the latest challenge over at Flourishes - the '5 senses' challenge - all the lovely color for the eyes, texture for touch with the twig wreath and all the cardstock leaves were 'textured' with embossing folders. And lastly the imagioned smell of fresh crisp snow in the winter scene.

  The steampunk one is probably something only I would get a kick out of but now that the idea is in my head I have to do it :).

Forest Christmas Wreath

Hallo,
  Another Christmas wreath for you this evening - another of the purple and blue ones. All  the stamps are from Flourishes  - the letters colored with copics and the other 2 are colored with prismacolor pencils.

Snowmen Wreath

Hallo,
  Ahhh thursday evening... the kids are doing home work, the DH is out of town up at Taladega to watch the race (for the weekend) and I have been at the craft table most of the day - well after an hour walk with my rowdy puppy and making a craft supply run (I needed more wreaths...) and a bit of house cleaning....
   I worked on some Christmas wreaths - 3 in purples and blues and the makings for 2 more in reds and greens and gold....
  The letters are stamps  from Flourishes - colored with copics and the snowmen are digitals from Cornish Heritage Farms - also colored with copics.
   The leaves were all cut with die cuts in my cuttlebug and embossed with embossing folders and then I hot glued them onto the wreath.
  I am really having fun with these wreaths!!!!

Singing Pumpkins wreath

Hallo,
  Another wreath for you today - very similar to yesterdays. I did yesterdays in more of a yellow tone and todays in red and orange with a brown background behind the pumpkins.
   The pumpkins are from Holly Berry and the letters from Flourishes - all colored with copics.

  I am headed for bed and then need to try and clean house later this afternoon.

Fall Pumpkin wreath

 Hallo,
   Well home from work, got the puppy her walk and now just giving her time to settle down and I will head for my bed.
  I got some good craft time on Sunday this weekend as it rained all day!!!!
   I did a couple more Halloween wreaths.
  The leaves were all made from scraps of cardstock and Halloween DP - in yellow, orange, red and brown. I die cut the leaves and then ran the plain cardstock ones through embossing folders. Finally I hot glued them onto the wreath.
   The pumpkin stamp is from Holly Berry - colored with copics. I cut it out with a Spellbinders die and the layer under it and then added some pearls in copper with a tulip fabric pen.
  The banner is done with stamps from Flourishes - colored with copics and strung up on twine.
   I now have 3 Halloween wreaths waiting for the craft fair - tempted to keep one for myself - problem is deciding WHICH one!!!
   I will have more encaustic wax pics this week too - I had class again yesterday and we worked with clayboard - very nice surface to work on!!!

Abstract Sea

Hallo,
  Another rainy day in NW Florida - even rainier than yesterday...not sure puppy will get her walk this morning - drizzle I will do but not the downpour we have this morning!!
  I managed some craft time yesterday but didn't get pictures taken yet due to the rainy weather - maybe It will break for a bit later.
  Another piece of encaustic wax to show you today - this one was done with just the iron but when I was done adding color I sprinkled it with sparkle embossing powder which is a really cool affect!!
   I am not going to do much of anything this morning - try to finish up on a wreath or two. I have my wax class at 1 pm and then my DD has her IB pinning ceremony at the HS in the late afternoon and then I work tonight so it will end up to be a busy day all around.
