Peace on Earth

 Hallo,
A quick note this evening  - I didn't get a chance to play in the Tuesday challenge over at Flourishes last week as we were out of town the week of Thanksgiving and I didn't get anything put together in time.
I had stamped up a bunch of Christmas images to color when we were home - went to a craft fair with my Mom one day and sat with her in her booth, so between that day and some evenings, I managed to get about 8/9 images colored - now I just need to get them all put together.
Both these stamps are from Flourishes. I colored the main image with prismacolor pencils and embossed the phrase in copper. The challenge this week at Flourishes is for 'stitching' so I added some faux stitching to the main layer, the brown and the base layer of DP.
Check out the challenge here - www.flourishes.org/blog/
For the maim image - the cardstock I used is Neenah Desert Storm from Paper Temptress. This is a great cardstock - kraft colored but smooth and takes both pencil and copics perfectly - it is one of my 'go-to' cardstocks (along with Neenah ivory and my top fav Cryogen White) I get my coloring cardstock here - www.papertemptress.com  - but watch out she also has a ton of beautiful specialty papers that are very hard to resist (trust me I  KNOW - I just placed a large order this week :)
All for tonight - time to get some super and then relax with the DH on the couch :)
         Take Care

Tera, this card is gorgeous! Fab coloring, and the embossed sentiment looks really pretty over it. Love the dp you chose--especially the pine bough one, and those rustic buttons are the perfect embellies. I'm glad you were able to join us in this week's Timeless Tuesday Challenge!
