Baby Boy gift box set
Hallo,
A quick post this evening as I am winding down for the night. I finished off this baby box set for a coworker today.
I covered a wooden box from JoAnn's in pretty papers - boy style and did the memory book and card to match.
I have one more box in the works and then I may have to take a break and get my Christmas cards done, and tomorrow I will show you the last of my Halloween projects.
The weather here in NW Florida has been absolutely AWESOME!!!!!
I love the cool weather!!
I pulled weeds today for about 2 hours and only have a little bit to go to get my flowers beds all caught up on the weeding from my lack of weeding over the summer.
Its been a bit of a challenge to do yard work as I am back to using a cane - I am getting my left knee replaced in January and it has been pestering me a lot lately(If I use the cane I don't limp as much, and if I can keep from limping my hip and back don't ache as much.....) And to top it off I jammed the big toe on my right foot yesterday and it is pretty swollen and bruised. And Yes Klutz is my middle name.....
All for today - Take Care

Another baby gift set...
Hallo,
Back with another baby gift set - box, memory book and card that I made for a coworker.
I used an image I found on Etsy from 'pattiescreations' and colored it with prismacolor and polychrome pencils.
I don't do black skin tones very often so its not perfect but I liked how it turned out!.
I have 2 more baby boxes in the works - both boy themed so should see them soon. Also will have a day in the studio on Saturday and hope to accomplish something there too.
I am really enjoying the cooler weather here in NW Florida - hope it stays around awhile!!!
All for now - as the saying goes, I didn't win the lottery so back to work I go....

Its...another baby box...boy style
Hallo,
Giving you a break from Halloween cards for today. Another of the many baby gift box sets I have been making lately. A lot of babies coming in my little corner of the world lately.
The image is from 'A Day for Daisies' printed onto cryogen white cardstock and colored with prismacolor and polychrome pencils.
I decorate a box - old cigar box, plain wood or sturdy cardboard from the craft store - whatever I can find big enough, and then make a matching card and memory book for inside.
All for today. Take Care

Baby box - boy
Hallo,
Just a quick project to show off today - I have a ton of baby boxes to do for friends, and coworkers - this is number 3 of 6 with 2 more boy ones and 1 more girl one to come.
I forgot to get picks of the second one I did though.....
The image is from 'A day for daisies' and is one of my favorite for the baby boxes. Colored with prismacolor and polychrome pencils onto cryogen white cardstock.
The box I used is an plain wooden one I got at JoAnn's - it makes a good size to hold the memory book.

Copper Pearl
Hallo,
Another card for you today, using the same image from yesterdays by Julia Burgess. I often end up doing 2 of each image because when I print I like to use the whole sheet and usually print 2.
Again I used cryogen white cardstock and polychrome pencils to color her with.
She is layered to some pretty cardstock and the base cardstock is from Paper temptress's metallic line - a pretty, shimmery copper.
I also used a gold metallic pen to edge the image panel and some pearl drops with viva décor pens for the corners.
All for today - Take Care

Pink Pearl
Hallo,
A short post this afternoon as I need to get outta this chair and do my knee exercises.....
I finished off 2 cars today and this is the first one. She is a digital image from Julia Burgess called 'Pearl' and I colored her with polychrome pencils.
I printed her onto 'cryogen white' cardstock from Paper Temptress. The cryogen white is my favorite cardstock for coloring - either pencil or copics - because it is so smooth and both blend very well on this cardstock.
I layered her onto 'Lagoon' cardstock also from Paper Temptress's metallic line. It is a lovely turquoise color and wonderful sparkle.
All for today - I have another one for you tomorrow. Take Care.

Baby box gift box
Hallo,
An afternoon chillin at home - watching football, watching Irma, and being crafty. I finished off this cute baby box that I made for a coworker and am working on some clay roses(from a mold) for another coworkers wedding box which is my next project.
I used a stamp from 'Flourishes' - stamped onto cryogen white of course and colored with polychrome pencils.
I used a wooden cigar box and a chipboard book and covered them with matching scrapbook papers and edged the edges with a metallic gold pen. I decorated with some little baby shoes, feet and a teddy bear and a cute baby ribbon.
So far Irma isn't going to trouble us much here in NW Florida - 40/50 mph winds and a bit of rain - unless she moves more west over night we should be in the clear.
I guess that means I have to go to work tomorrow....

Pretty in pink
Hallo,
It is so beautiful and cool out this morning, have all the windows and doors open to the fresh air and Lovin it!!! Too bad I couldn't get myself out of bed in time to take the pups for a walk.....I have been working the 11 am to 7 pm shift this week and getting up every day at 6 to walk the pups and run a ton of errands - normal stuff plus a bit of hurricane prepare. Then last night I didn't get off till about 945 pm and I guess I was a bit tired. With any kind of luck the cool weather will hang out a day or two!!!
Irma seems to have turned away from us here in NW Florida panhandle - lets hope she keeps going east and doesn't decide to curve back into the gulf!!! And hopefully weakens a lot more before south Florida has to deal with her full force!!!!
Well I have another baby box to show you - with memory book and card. This one is for a co-worker who is due in a couple weeks. Her colors for baby stuff are pin and gold. I used a cigar box for the box and a chipboard blank book for the memory book. All the images are done on cryogen white paper from Paper Temptress and colored with polychrome pencils. The base pink card stock on the card is also from Paper Temptress - not sure of the name - will have to look that one up.
All the other scrapbook/patterned paper was from deep in my stash of pretty papers.....(ahem/hoarder/denial....)
All for today - gotta head off to work here soon.
Take Care!!!!

Sweet Pea Stampers - 'Baby its cold outside'
Hallo,
Its time for another challenge over at Sweet Pea Stampers blog - http://thesweetpeastampers.blogspot.co.uk/
Our challenge this time is 'Baby its cold outside' I used Katerina Koukiotis's 'Home for the Holidays' and colored her with prismacolor pencils.
This is such a sweet image and with her rosy cheeks it does look a bit chilly outside :) The background paper has snowflakes on it and I used a ribbon with snowflakes and snowflake stickers too :)
If you ever wonder what paper I use to color - someone asked me this recently - I use Cryogen White cardstock that I get from the Paper Temptress ( http://papertemptress.com/ ) for the majority of my coloring, as todays is - my next favorite is the Neenah cardstock - ivory and desert storm (kraft colored but smooth to color on) also from Paper Temptress.
The Cryogen White is very smooth, takes color beautifully, doesn't bleed and it has a sparkly sheen to it that just adds a subtle pizzaz that I really love :)
Make sure to check out my fellow DT members blogs as they have some really pretty cards to show you, play along with us and you could win some free images from Sweet Pea Stamps!!!
All for me this am as I am off to spend the day with my Chief Craft Enabler as we make the rounds of the craft stores over in Pensacola :)
Take Care
