Around the Holidays I always seem to think of family of course but especially ones who are no longer with us and I like to light candles for them. Also its kind of old fashioned but I always think of candles in the windows to light the way home.
For my card this time I chose Katerina Koukiotis's 'Home for the Holidays' and colored her in with copics. I really like the way she turned out - I wanted sorta the same look as the image has on the Sweet Pea shop with the red cheeks and hands - I can almost feel how cold she is :).
I edged all the panels in gold metallic pen. I used a Spellbinders die cut under the main image and then added a brown and red ribbon - brown to pull in the colors of the tree and cabin. I used a holly DP because she has a sprig of holy at her neck and then backed it to green card base to tie in the greens of the trees and holly.
And lastly some red pearl drops for accents.
I am slowly getting Christmas cards done but still have a bunch to go.....
Have a great weekend!!!!
Tera
