Ocoee Water Rising

Hallo,
Just a few photos this am that I took on our resent weekend getaway....worked last night and again tonight so sleep is calling.....
This is the Olympic section of the Ocoee river. This section only has alot of water on the weekends specially for rafting.
We went rafting saturday and then Sunday am we ran down here to watch the water come in and watch the rafting for a bit from the sidelines.
All my pictures today were taken at the same spot - this is the way it looked before they released water and the next couple pics show the water rising and the first couple rafts to come down. The rafts started coming literally as soon as the water - they almost rode the first wave down. The river here accually has a little more water in it than normal before release due to all the rain they have had this year.
As the pics go the second one is a bit above 1/2 and then pics 3/4 tops it off - with the rafts already showing in picture 4 - pics 5/6 are of the first couple rafts to run this spot.
Tomorrow I will have some more pictures of lower on this section - of Godzilla and Humungo - those two rapids are back to back so the pics will be coming off godzilla and onto and through humungo. I am really loving my new camera - I got some great action shots just in 'normal' mode of the camera - had planned on trying out the 'sports mode' but didn't get to that.
All for now - more white water photos tomorrow!!!!
I sleep now......:)
Have a Great weekend.
Tera
