Febr GinaK CSS Blog Hop

 Hallo,
Welcome to the Februrary Gina K  CSS blog hop - this time we are using a color challenge from our very own Geri - for red, pink and a neutral color.
You might have come to me from Vicki - http://allidoisstamp.blogspot.com/2013/02/stamp-tv-css-hop-february-5.html  I am sure she had some yummy goodness for you!!!
Make sure to leave some comments along the way, because we will be drawing for a huge grab bag of Gina K products from among the commentors!!!
I did a little something different than I intended on doing and made up a few Sympathy cards. I realize that these are not the normal colors that most - even me - would use for a Sympathy card.....But I lost a very Dear Aunt on friday and she had a Birthday coming up Valentines weekend....these cards went out this am for my Uncle and cousins....
The sets I used from Gina K are 'By your side' and the phrase is from 'Block Greetings' I stamped them with brown memento ink and colored them with copic markers. I did this first one onto neenah desert storm paper and the other one onto cryogen white.
I cut them image and the next layer with a Spellbinders die - layering the main image to some silver paper and edging the image layer with silver metallic pen.
The red paper is coordinations - red with a pink/red core  - I ran it through a texture folder and sanded off the top of the texture. It is a very elegant and subtle look - verses a white core cardstock. Lastly I added some silver pearl drops with some liquid fabric paint from tulip.
Next I am sending you off to Sharri  - http://istamp4u.blogspot.com/2013/02/stamp-tv-css-group-february-blog-hop.html
   Have a great week everyone!!!
      Take Care
             Tera

These cards are lovely -- and make a perfect sympathy card. Sympathy cards don't need to be all dark, dreary colors!

I agree that I might not have thought to use these colors for a sympathy card - but they work!
